Philip Alan Greenberg, Esq. Lawyer

Philip Alan Greenberg, Esq.

Philip GreenbergAs a family and divorce lawyer, Philip Greenberg has sat with his clients during some difficult times. He has more than four decades of experience in handling these cases, and since 2000, has been helping his clients with his private practice. Since 2010, he has been a lecturer for the National Business Institute. The highlight of his career was a case he worked earlier in his career. He handled the appeal and won a verdict of $1.7 million. As this case was 40 years ago, there were less than 10 7-figure verdicts in New York per year, so it was a significant sum to be awarded. It was a great learning experience as well as a great accomplishment for him.

To prepare for a career in law, Mr. Greenberg first earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and sociology from Brooklyn College, cum laude, in 1970. He continued at New York University to receive a JD in 1973. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1974. In 1975, he was admitted to practice in the US Tax Court, the US District Court for the Southern District of New York and the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Furthermore, he is admitted to practice with the US Supreme Court Bar and the New Jersey State Bar. His areas of focus in law concern fathers’ rights, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, business litigation, real estate transactions and civil litigation. Fresh out of school, Mr. Greenberg worked as an associate and later became a partner at Kamerman & Kamerman. In 1982, he became a partner at Segal, Liling & Greenberg. In 2019, he published “Divorce Incites: Conversations with America’s Leading Divorce Professionals” as a co-author.
